School vacation? Go skiing! Ski areas in southern Vermont offer great skiing, snowboarding, snowmobile tours and ice skating. Factory outlets, gourmet dining and more.

Located in the Green Mountains of southern Vermont, these ski resorts are nestled between Brattleboro, Bennington, Manchester and White River Junction. They are within driving distance from Burlington, Boston and New York. The downside is, none of them are right off the highway, which means the ride in will be beautiful but remote. Once there however, Mount Snow, Okemo and Stratton Mountain resorts have everything you need for a week of winter sports. For directions, see Map of Vermont Ski Areas.

Luxury Accommodations and Activities

A wide variety of budget to luxury accommodations offers guests a comfortable base of operations. They include trailside condos, lakeside lodges, multi-room suites, studios and hotel rooms. Amenities include fireplaces, full kitchens, washers & dryers, saunas, jacuzzis, sport centers, heated pools, hot tubs and saunas. Free shuttle service from most resorts connects you to the slopes.

After a hard day skiing and snowboarding, get ready to sample the Vermont night-life. Gourmet dining, apres ski, local pubs and live entertainment will keep everyone full and content. Manchester Designer Outlets are within driving distance for factory outlet shopping. Stores like Coach, Crabtree & Evelyn, J Crew, Mikasa and Banana Republic will make even the non-skier happy.
